C "R" U Chapel Warriors!

Good day, one and all!

I have been asked to write a short email on the upcoming Keele Rugby 7's Tournament that's occurring on Saturday, 12th May. The basic information is:

Saturday, 12th May

Sports Centre

For those who are concerned for safety it is TOUCH rugby so there isn't full contact or any type of tackling.
The team itself needs at least 7 players but anyone who wants to get involved can do and everyone will get a chance to play!
Even if you don't want to play, it'll be great to have support for the C "R" U Chapel Warriors!

If you want any more information you can contact Peter Shuker or 'Original Ben' Sutherland. There is also a Facebook event set up which is called 'C "R" U Chapel Warriors Rugby 7's Team 2012'

Also there is a chance to get your hands on a C "R" U Chapel Warriors t-shirt! If you'd like one (whether you are playing or not) contact Shuke or Ben or there is a post on the Event page which you can like if you want one. They will cost about £5. WARNING: They will be ordered before next Monday (30th) so, if you want one, please tell let Shuke/Ben know.

Missions week!

Missions Week is under way!
It all kicked off yesterday with a Lunchbar (talk and free lunch) on suffering and a jazz cafe in the evening on 'Who is Jesus?' It was so great to have the opportunity of inviting people to come along and hear the gospel and ask some questions!
Tomorrow is another Lunchbar but this time on 'Is the God of the bible violent and evil?' and a jazz cafe on 'Why did Jesus come' so feel free to come along, (the info. is in the missions week tab)!

Similarly any prayers would be much appreciated!
We're going with, there are 9000 Keele Students, so how about 9000 saved :)

People of CU, 

I am here to address you for the last time, this will be my last e-mail. *sounds of hysterical sobbing*, don’t worry the Lord will help you through. This week:

THIS WEEK: We have our first meeting of the semester. I for one am very excited as we havn’t met and worshiped together in ages. So come along the speaker is going to be great and it’s the last meeting with the current exec so come wave us off with flags or something. TICKETS sold for Missions week, bring all of your money and give it to me. Or at least £6 of it (one ticket for each event) We will also be taking an offering for EVENTS WEEK so if you could bring some monies for that that would be great. 

NEXT WEEK: There will be no meeting as it is EVENTS WEEK. Instead there will be a Jazz cafe. Guys I cannot stress enough how awesome next week is going to be, so think of those friends and get them there. 

EVENTS WEEK: “IT’S UPON US” so get ready. We’re gonna let the campus know we’re (Jesus included) here for them 
• There is a volunteering survey so get your serving Jesus butts onto that.

REGULARS: football still going even though coaches are hating on the tax at the minute (Capello, Redknapp some casual news for you there), Hallgroups, new leaders, some time changes so check.

THIS WEEK: It’s a night full of games, we have cleverly decided to call it “Games Night” it’s our social so think of those friends you have that you can’t get out of the house cos they’re glued to their screens. This is ideal. Bring some friends and some cheer and we’ll have a wonderful socialling time.

MISSIONS CONFERENCE : It’s gonna be epic be there. Genuins all that needs to be said. Sweet bringing is still also an option. Join the facebook group.

NEXT WEEK: It’s out first meeting back. Let me hear those shouts of joy. It’ll be great to be back in some time of worship and fellowship together so get your butts there peeps.

EVENTS WEEK: is all but nearly upon us, so get thinking who you want to invite to all those wonderful events and who wants to get to know Jesus (this is everyone obvs) It will be an epic week if we get behind it. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday so bring moneys.
